30 12" Speaker (8 & 16 Ohm)

|
Handles high
output in vintage style.
The Vintage 30 resulted from
Celestion’s early steps to preserve the tonal
characteristics of vintage speakers while using contemporary
materials and construction techniques.
As the 1970s progressed and guitar amplifiers became more
powerful, guitarists began to demand the tone of the
Celestion Blue in a speaker that could handle more power. So
in the early ’80s, Celestion made pioneering use of Laser
Doppler Interferometry to analyse the cone behaviour of an
original Celestion Blue. We could then form a precise model
of our vintage speaker characteristics and apply it to a
speaker design using new materials for greater power
handling.
The result was an instant classic. Seemingly twice as loud
as anything else at the same power level, the Vintage 30
handles massive overdrive sounds with ease. Tight bass, fat
mids and a smooth, harmonically rich top end have made the
Vintage 30 an excellent 4 x 12" loudspeaker. Of course, it’s
also suitable for any other cab!

Speaker (8 ohm)

Classic '60s
tone!
Celestion’s first guitar
loudspeaker featuring a ceramic magnet structure, the G12M
‘Greenback’ presented almost as much magnetic flux to the
voice coil as an Alnico formulation, but in a much more
compact space. As a result the Greenback became the guitar
loudspeaker that paved the way for use with higher power
amplifiers. And, of course, the ceramic magnet presented its
own unique tonal characteristics.
The Greenback has a loud and assertive character that sounds
great through a valve amp pushed into overdrive. The speaker
has evolved over the decades and still presents that
instantly familiar woody tone, delivered with a knockout
punch.

Gold 12" Guitar Speaker (8 ohm)

Many other manufacturers have tried to recreate the
Celestion Blue sound in a higherpowered driver, and some have come
close. But only Celestion has the experience and know-how to emulate the
tone and response of its own, Alnico classic in a modern driver that’s
perfect for single or multiple applications in cabinets or combos.
What limited the power handling of the Original Blue was the material
used in the construction of the voice coil.
However, after hundreds of hours of testing and countless prototypes,
Celestion has developed a new coil that can withstand higher levels of
power but leaves the tone unaffected.
Such a relatively simple, yet important development, lies at the heart
of a truly remarkable new guitar loudspeaker.

Classic 30W 12" Guitar Speaker 70th Anniversary (8 ohm)

Evokes the
sounds of the classic 1960s and '70s rock bands.
The G12H 12" Guitar
Speaker was re-released in 1994 for Celestion's 70th anniversary. Loud
and proud thanks to its heavy magnet structure, the G12H provides a
fusion of the Vintage 30 and the Greenback characteristics, producing a
thick, warm and syrupy sound while still retaining a tight and focused
bottom end.
When played clean the G12H remains clear and musical without ever
sounding harsh. In overdrive, pick attack is vividly articulated with
sustained notes trailing off into warm harmonic tones.

Heritage 12" Guitar Speaker (8 Ohms)

Listen to any
Hendrix recording and chances are you're hearing the unmistakably creamy
tones of the G12H.
If the G12M was to become a
classic, it was the G12H with its heavier magnet that really
characterised the sound of rock guitar for the new breed of
player that emerged in the 1960s. Listen to any Hendrix
recording and the chances are you’re hearing the
unmistakably creamy tones of the G12H. Originally available
in two versions – low resonance for bassists and high
resonance for guitarists – both were in fact embraced by
guitar players for their unique tonal characteristics.
The new Celestion G12H is a perfect recreation of the low
resonance model, right down to the voice coil former
material, glue formulations and vintage, solder-only tag
panel. Suitable for use in all cabs, it exudes thick, syrupy
tones with a deep, growling bottom end.

12" Speaker(8 ohm)

Released towards the end of
the ’70s, the G12T-75 heralded a new era of high power
guitar loudspeakers.
The G12T-75 is seen by many as the ultimate incarnation of
the original Celestion G12M model – a Greenback on steroids
in the quest for higher power. With its aggressive and spiky
tonal qualities, the G12T-75 has featured extensively in
cabinets like the legendary Marshall 1960.
The best selling guitar speaker of all time, the G12T-75 is
in fact remarkably versatile, staying clean at thunderously
high volume levels. But it’s in rock and metal that this
speaker has really made its mark, with an emphasis on huge
bass, relaxed mids and vibrant highs.
